Course Description
Rather than merely presenting the metaphysical meanings behind the words and stories of the Bible, this course provides you with the tools necessary to interpret the Bible for yourself. You’ll examine familiar and unfamiliar Bible stories and find new insights in them. For example, have you ever considered the insights the story of Cain and Abel can offer you about relationships in your own life?
This course will help you learn to:

• Define Biblical symbols metaphysically and use them to interpret scriptural passages and stories.
• Understand Bible characters as representing elements of your own consciousness.
• Use the Bible as a practical tool for personal growth and development.

Required Books

• The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible(While other Bibles are permitted, NRSV is the Bible version generally used in Unity Institute.)
• Let There Be Light (Elizabeth Sand Turner)
