Course Description
Learn how to pray—or polish your prayer skills—and develop your life of prayer with this online class.
You’ll explore the benefits of the affirmative prayers of Unity, take a closer look at traditional prayers, and even create your own definition of prayer. Plus, the telebridge feature offered with this prayer class helps you practice what you learn as you learn it.
Learning Objectives
As a student, you’ll develop a daily prayer journal and create a prayer credo—a personal statement of your beliefs about prayer. And when you finish the course, you’ll be able to:
- Practice Centering Prayer as a means to “enter the silence.”
- Compare and contrast traditional prayer methods with the Unity method of affirmative prayer and with your own way of praying.
- Write a Daily Word® message.
- Describe the principles of Truth that govern the prayer process according to Unity—and apply them in your life.
The Telebridge Bonus
Practice as you go with the telebridge workshops. Twice during the course, you’ll be invited to share a teleconference prayer session with your instructor and all the other students. It adds a whole new dimension to your prayer study as you listen, offer prayers of your own, ask questions, and make comments—all in a safe and friendly learning environment.
