| In Perfect Peace Deep
in the innermost recesses of your soul, the secret place
of the Most High within you, there is a haven of peace
and stillness. It is there that you find respite from
the tumult and confusion of the world; there that you
are poised, composed, inspired, and directed. It is
in this secret place that you realize your unity with
the life, light, and abundant goodness of God within
you.
Take time each day to enter the secret place
of God within you for prayer and meditation. When you
are
alone with God—feeling God’s presence,
awaiting God’s inspiration, receptive to God’s
healing, prospering power—your life and circumstances
are being transformed.
As you center yourself in the
presence of God, you allow God’s peace to flow
through you. You can release any thought of stress
or anxiety and free your
mind to receive only thoughts of peace and goodness.
As you do this you are free to use your creative energy
in affirmative thought and word to open the way for
perfect health, happiness, and prosperity to come into
your life.
As you keep your mind centered quietly and
trustingly in the spirit of God within you, the light
of God’s
peace illumines your way, the healing flow of God’s
peace permeates and restores every part of your body,
and the prospering power of God’s peace bountifully
provides for your needs. Where before you may have
felt a desire to tell God how to work in your life,
you become willing to let God’s good flow to
you in the way that is best.
Let your prayers for inner peace preface any prayer
that you make for others. First open your heart to the
peace of God and affirm its presence within you. When
you are tranquil in heart and strong in faith, then
affirm God’s goodness for the person you wish
to help. Whether the need be for healing, guidance,
love, freedom, employment, or supply, believe that the
right answer is coming to him or her at the right time.
Rest confidently in the assurance of these words of
Jesus.“Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe
that you receive it, and it will be yours” (Mk.
11:24).
Your period of communion with the spirit of God within you enables you to return
to day renewed and refreshed, enveloped in the perfect peace of God that sustains
you in faith and serenity. As you think, speak, act, and serve in the one purpose
of harmony with God, all things work together for your good. With your entire
being secure in God’s peace, you attract only love, acceptance, joy, and
success into your life.
“Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you.”
—Isaiah
26:3
