Other specifics:
Manuscripts must be printed with laser quality, double spaced, and proofread for spelling and grammar. Pages should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript, with your book title at the top of each page.
If you quote an individual source more than casually (roughly more than 200 words in 200 pages of manuscript–less than this will usually constitute “fair use”), then you must seek formal permission from the publisher of your source. Furthermore, this guideline is not a legal guarantee of fair use nor a protection that we offer as the publisher.
Receiving permission to quote copyrighted material is your responsibility, and you are responsible for paying any fees, which are usually minimal, required for this. Your manuscript draft will not be considered final until we have received a copy of each permission for our files.
All quotes must be verified by sending us a photocopy of the page on which the quote appears as well as a photocopy of the work’s title and copyright page. If we cannot verify your quote, then we cannot use it. Please be sure to quote material exactly as printed in original copyrighted sources.
If you refer to facts or statistics that aren’t easily verifiable with a good encyclopedia, world almanac, or unabridged dictionary, we require that you send us a copy of your source reference to ensure accuracy of everything we publish.
We prefer Bible quotations from the New Revised Standard Version but will accept other translations if the version better supports your textual point. Please cite biblical texts and versions in your work.
We do not solicit artwork or graphic design. Illustrations are your responsibility. If your manuscript requires specific photographs that you can furnish we will be happy to consider using them. Should we decide to publish your manuscript we will also require an electronic version of it.
