• Must have a valid life guarding certificate or be willing to obtain certification.
• Must be certified in first aid and CPR or be willing to obtain certification.
• Must be available to work most of the time period from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to be attentive to the swimmers in the pool for long periods of time.
• Must be able to be exposed to heat and sun during work schedule.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.

• Observe and respond to swimmers.
  
• Perform basic cleaning duties.
  
• Check membership, register and collect fees.
  
• Responsible for care and upkeep of pool, office, shower rooms and surrounding areas.
  
• Make daily financial reports of fees collected.
  
• Work every day including holidays and weekends.
  
• Respond to swimmers in a positive manner, but be prepared to use tactful discipline.
